Our job isn’t simply to show up when construction starts. We help guide the entire project from the early planning stages through the final walkthrough, so you know what’s happening, what decisions need to be made and what comes next.

1. We Start With a Conversation

You don’t need architectural plans, a perfectly organized Pinterest board or every finish picked out before you contact us. We start by learning about you and your home.

What isn’t working? What would you love to change? How does your family use the space now? What would make everyday life easier? We’ll also talk about your priorities, desired investment and general timeline so we can make sure the project is a good fit before moving forward.

Sometimes homeowners know exactly what they want. Sometimes they simply know, “This space isn’t working anymore.” Both are perfectly good places to start.

2. We Take a Closer Look at the Project

Once we understand the overall vision, we can start looking more closely at what it will take to bring it to life. This is where we begin considering the existing conditions of the home, the scope of work and the design or construction details that may affect the project.

For a larger renovation, there can be a big difference between having an idea of what you want and having a complete plan for how it will actually be built. We want to work through those details before construction, not figure them out as we go.

3. Design, Selections & Pre-Construction Planning

This is where a full-service remodeling experience really starts to make a difference.

Cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, appliances, paint colors and all of the smaller details have to work together. Those selections can also affect the project scope, budget and construction schedule.

Rather than sending you off to coordinate everything on your own, we help guide the process.

For larger projects, this may also include a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) that allows us to dig deeper into the scope, specifications, selections, budgeting and other pre-construction details.

The goal is simple: make as many informed decisions as possible before construction begins.

For example, it's difficult to accurately price a kitchen remodel before the cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, layout, and finish level have been established. The same is true for bathrooms, basements, outdoor living spaces, and whole-home renovations.

4. We Build the Plan Before We Build the Project

By the time we’re ready for construction, everyone should have a much clearer understanding of what we’re building. That means establishing the scope, working through selections and specifications, coordinating the necessary pieces and creating a plan for moving the project forward.

Can things still come up during construction? Of course. Remodeling an existing home will always have a few surprises. But good planning helps eliminate a lot of the unnecessary ones. It also gives us a much better foundation for communicating about changes if something unexpected does come up.

5. Construction Begins, and Communication Continues

This is the part everyone has been waiting for. Once construction begins, our team manages the work and keeps the project moving while staying in communication with you along the way.

We know having people working inside your home is different from building something in an empty space. It affects your routines, your family and your everyday life.

Our goal is to make that experience as manageable as possible while maintaining the level of craftsmanship we expect from our work. You should never feel like you have to chase someone down just to understand what is happening in your own home.

6. The Final Walkthrough Isn't the End of the Relationship

As construction wraps up, we’ll walk through the completed project together, address remaining details and make sure everything has come together the way it should.

Then you finally get the fun part: living in the home you spent all that time planning.

And our relationship doesn’t disappear when the project is finished. Our work is backed by a three-year workmanship warranty, because we want our clients to feel confident about the investment they’ve made in their home long after construction ends.
